An emergency mental health intervention for suicidal persons


What We Have Already Accomplished!
  • In 2009, CARES gave 11 presentations to over 150 people.
  • In 2010, CARES gave 30 presentations to over 550 people.
  • In 2011, CARES gave 22 presentations to over 600 people.

Mission
: To educate the community, both professional and lay people, on how to recognize a crisis and refer appropriately for help.

Target Audience: Parents, friends, neighbors, teachers, ministers, doctors, nurses, students, colleges, office supervisors, squad leaders, foremen, police officers, advisors, caseworkers, firefighters; and many others who are strategically positioned to recognize and refer someone at risk of suicide.
  • $25 per person
  • FREE workshops for nonprofit organizations and for students (educational setting)
  • Training at your location in a one hour to two hour session
