U.S. Statistics:

• Every 17 seconds a suicide attempt is made.

• Every 16 minutes someone is successful in killing themselves.

• In a 24 hour period, 90 people commit suicide.

• US ranks 11th in suicide deaths.

• Approximately 32,000 Americans kill themselves every year in the US, almost 2,300 of them are Floridians. Florida is ranked 9th in the nation for suicide.
